BL Bagra is new CMD of NALCO
State-run aluminium company NALCO’s chief A K Srivastava, who was caught allegedly taking bribe and is in CBI custody now, has been suspended by the government. The mines ministry suspended Srivastava based on CBI charges, a top official said. NALCO CMD and wife to face five days of CBI grilling
A Delhi court today allowed CBI to quiz NALCO Chairman-cum-Managing Director Abhay Kumar Srivastava, his wife and two others, arrested in an alleged bribery case, in its custody for five days. CBI arrested four of them and recovered about 10 kgs of gold bricks and jewellery valued at around Rs 2.13 crores as also Rs 30 lakh in cash from their possession yesterday.  Read More →

MTNL slashes ISD rates
State-run MTNL today slashed ISD calling rates for its GSM as well as 3G subscribers, bringing down the cost for calls to countries such as US, Canada and China to Rs 1 per minute. MTNL, on the occasion of completing 25 years in service, announced a ninety days’ promotion scheme through which ISD calling rates to Argentina, Bahrain, Cyprus, Jordan, South Korea, Malaysia and Sweden would be reduced to Rs 3 per...
