Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is expected to fly back to Chennai on Wednesday night from Singapore, where he was undergoing medical treatment for six weeks.
The 60-year-old is still recuperating from kidney-related ailments. Doctors have advised him rest for another month. The actor’s family says he will be back in action with his next movie Rana soon.
In a recent letter to his fans, Rajini had acknowledged that it was their prayers and love which saved him.
Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi were among those who spoke to the star during his treatment at Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore.
